Step 1

Let’s Talk- Start with a friendly chat or pop in for a visit. We’ll take the time to understand exactly what you’re looking for in your dream camper—your needs, ideas, and expectations. This is also the perfect opportunity to ask any questions you might have. Once you're happy to move forward, a deposit will secure your place in our build schedule.

Step 2

Choices Day – Bring Your Vision to Life! A few weeks before your build begins, we’ll sit down with you to finalise all the details. Whether you’ve got a colour scheme in mind, dream of going fully off-grid with solar, or want specific features inside, we’ll guide you through our wide range of options. It’s all about making sure your camper not only looks the part but is perfectly equipped for your lifestyle.

Step 3

Drop-Off Day – The Journey Begins This is when your van officially becomes part of the Kahuna family. We’ll confirm your final choices and take care of any last-minute tweaks. From this moment on, you have our full focus. You’re welcome to drop by and see your camper taking shape—or, if you prefer, wait for the excitement of the big reveal on collection day. Most builds are completed within 3–4 weeks from drop-off.

Collection Day – The Big Reveal The moment you’ve been waiting for! After unveiling your brand-new camper, we’ll walk you through all the features and functions to ensure you feel totally confident and ready for the road ahead. It’s not just a handover—it’s the beginning of your next adventure.

When we got our VW Transporter we knew what we wanted it to look like as a finished result, but didn’t know how to get to that result, Chris got the U shape seating/bed made for us, and converted the van to a superior level, we where so pleased with it, that we have now bought a long wheelbase transporter, and are taking it straight back to Chris for him to do his work on this one. Excellent communication with Chris he talks you through every detail to make sure it’s right.

I am delighted with my T5 conversion carried out by Kahuna Campers. They sourced the donor vehicle with a really low mileage and in excellent condition. I was able to choose the worktop and unit pattern as well as the floor covering. I also opted to have the rock and roll bed recovered in material that matched the VW front seats. I had a large solar panel placed on the roof and we are able to wild camp without needing an electric hook up. The standard of finish throughout is excellent and the price was very competitive.
